What is the Difference Between a Dietitian and a Nutritionist?
There actually is a huge difference! The credential of dietitian (RD) requires that you have at least a bachelors degree in nutrition along with completing a comprehensive program of nutrition-related coursework called a dietetic internship. In addition to all of that education, RDs have to pass a national registration exam and complete a certain number of continuing education credits each year to stay up to date on the most current nutrition recommendations. The title “nutritionist” actually has no regulations on it meaning any regular old Joe on the street can decide to take that title!
What to Expect About Working With Emily
No two people have the same needs! It’s easy for people to fall into the trap of thinking what worked for their friend/neighbor/coworker/Instagram blogger they follow will work for them, but this is almost never the case. I will work to develop a plan that moves at your personal pace and incorporates healthy eating into your life in a way that is fun and sustainable.
