Position at MPOWER
Years of Experience
Certifications Held
I am originally from Northern California, and studied at California State University of Sacramento where I received my degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercises and Rehabilitation. After school, I worked as a physical therapy tech for about a year. I also worked as a strength and HIIT group trainer for about 2 years. When I moved to Tennessee, I applied for the Physical Therapy Tech position at MPOWER in Green Hills. I worked in that position for about 6 months before transitioning to the personal trainer position.
I was surrounded by sports growing up, and I was an athlete myself. I started playing sports around the age of 6 and tried almost every sport with a ball. The one sport I stuck with was softball and played competitively for about 8 years.
I love the concept of healing the body naturally just by using movement and exercise as treatment. It is not just a treatment for the body but also for the mind too.
Strength training and muscle building. I like to work with all types of clients, but improving quality of life for the general population is very rewarding.
Expect to be pushed and held accountable, be ready to work hard, be committed and stay positive while having fun! You will gain confidence and strength while doing everyday activities. Expect to enjoy the practice of exercise and reap the benefits.
Every client is different, and I am committed to integrating a program to help each client to achieve their goals. I believe that strength heals, and that it is important for everyone to have a solid foundation to help increase their quality of life.
