BS, Health and Human Performance: Exercise Science – University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

 

Certifications Held: ACSM Certified Personal Trainer

 

After obtaining her degree in Exercise Science, Rachael worked in an industrial setting, providing musculoskeletal first aid for assembly line workers, and ergonomic assessments for machinery and the engineering team. She then joined MPOWER Performance Institute in 2020.

Rachael grew up an athletic kid who never sat still. She was either on her way to a sporting practice or playing football with her brother in the backyard. Once in college, she had a very serious knee injury which led her to giving up a lot of team sports. She learned how to lift weights while going through PT for her knee injury. She fell in love with feeling, looking, and being strong while lifting heavy things!

This is the only body you have been given. Love your body and your body will love you back.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN WORKING WITH RACHAEL
Expect really cheesy jokes. Expect to learn how to move correctly. I expect my clients to exercise because they love their body, not because they hate their body.

 

HER GREATEST SUCCESS
I have had the pleasure of working with so many great clients at MPOWER and previous jobs. I worked with one client who was 8 weeks pregnant all the way up until she was 39 weeks pregnant. Every week was a little different and it was so fun to be a tiny part of her journey. The resilience and strength of the human body never ceases to amaze me.
