About Sammy Gairrett

Sammy Gairrett is a Personal Trainer at MPOWER Brentwood with a background in fitness, performance training, and tactical wellness. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State University and has experience working with a wide variety of clients ranging from beginners and older adults to athletes and tactical professionals. In addition to personal training, Sammy also serves as a firefighter, giving him firsthand experience in the importance of strength, recovery, resilience, and functional movement in everyday life. He was drawn to the health and wellness industry because of the positive impact movement can have on people physically, mentally, and emotionally.  Outside of training and firefighting, Sammy enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Kaylie, and their dog, Mila. He is also an adrenaline junkie and enjoys gaming.

PERSONAL TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is that movement is medicine when applied correctly. I believe training should improve how people move, feel, and function in everyday life — not just how they look.
I focus on building strong foundations through stability, mobility, proper mechanics, and progressive strength development. Every client is different, so programs should be individualized, adaptable, and sustainable. My goal is to create long-term success by helping clients develop confidence, resilience, and healthy habits they can maintain for life.

Clients can expect a supportive, encouraging, and individualized approach. I meet people where they are and focus on building a strong foundation before progressing intensity. I prioritize proper movement, technique, and long-term progress over quick fixes.

I also believe fitness should feel challenging but enjoyable. My sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and designed to help clients feel successful while continuing to grow physically and mentally. Whether someone is brand new to exercise or highly experienced, I want them to leave feeling more confident and capable.
