About Cassidy Towner

 

Cassidy was born and raised in Southern California. She grew up playing competitive soccer, cross country, and track. She went on to run D1 cross country and track at San Diego State for undergrad and went back to SDSU for PT school. She loves staying active through running and strength training. Outside of work you can find her baking yummy treats, walking my two golden retrievers and watching lots of baseball. Cassidy received her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at San Diego State University. She then went on to pursue her master's in Kinesiology Sport's Performance at Point Loma Nazarene University. Cassidy also completed her doctorate in Physical Therapy at San Diego State University.

Why were you drawn to the health and wellness industry?

“I have known I wanted to work in healthcare since I was in high school. Through my active lifestyle and participation in sports I was drawn to physical therapy because I had the desire to help people get back to doing what they love.“

What are your expertise?

Cross Country/ Track Athletes Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS/ hEDS)

How would you describe the importance & benefits of the care/service you provide?

“Participating and following a physical therapy plan of care is crucial in injury recovery and finding the right healthcare providers to help you reach your goals are just as important. Physical therapy is a skilled approach to injury rehabilitation and return to activity that is patient specific and goal oriented.”

What would you tell a new client/patient to expect about working with you?

“I am going to put my very best into your treatment, so I expect the same effort in return. Let's work together to reach your goals and have fun along the way!”
