About Nikki Clayton

BS, Applied Physiology and Kinesiology

CERTIFICATIONS: ATC, C-PS

Nikki graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in applied Physiology and Kinesiology with Athletic Training. While attending undergrad, she worked as a student Athletic Trainer for two years with the Florida Football team. She also spent some time with track and field, swimming, and cheer. Following undergrad, she stayed at The University of Florida to pursue a doctorate in Physical Therapy.

After completing graduate school, Nikki and her Husband moved to Jacksonville, Florida where Nikki worked for a large orthopedic group specializing in Sports and Ortho patients. She had the opportunity to be the preferred provider for the Semi-Pro soccer team, the Jacksonville Armada. She also had the opportunity to work with high level tennis and golf players, as well, as many other sports.

Nikki was drawn into this field through experience. She had multiple injuries growing up and always appreciated those that helped her gain the strength and confidence to get back out onto the field. She appreciates watching someone have successes and being able to be a part of their journey to instill confidence in themselves that they will be back!

PHYSICAL THERAPY PHILOSOPHY

A little encouragement and push can go a long way to reaching goals that you didn’t think were possible.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN WORKING WITH NIKKI

You can expect a fun, yet driven and compassionate experience that is focused on patient personal goals.

HER GREATEST SUCCESS

I had a patient that had a devastating knee injury during a soccer game requiring a complicated surgery. Even with setbacks, he was able to reach his goal to walk down the aisle to his wife 3 months out of surgery and be able to be active on his honeymoon.
